Three young people who could be considered as successful businessmen shared their knowledge. They were Taufshwara Diasriandaru as the Founder of Jelasin.com, Nia Lesmana who was Community Manager of Cacoo Indonesia, and Radik Kriolampah who was the Chief Operational Officer (COO) of Elven Tales. All three described the key points that had to be done in starting a business in the event of Studentpreneur  goes to UWIKA entitled “From Creativity to Innovation”, Thursday, December 5, 2013.

Taufshwara Diasriandaru said, designing a business was a challenge. Employers had to be able to combine three important elements. “Which are management, technical, and entrepreneurs,” said the man who was familiarly called as Ufan.

He suggested, businesses did not like Superman that seemed capable of doing everything himself. Of those elements, at least, the initiator of the business should take one role. “For the others, we have to find a partner who has the capability oftechnical, managerial, or entrepreneurial,” he continued.

If those three elements were completed, success would not be so far from expectations. Because, to be able to run, a business needed a distinctive personal character who had those three aspects. NiaLesmana added, in addition to those three characters, a true entrepreneur had to be ready to be embarrassed, especially in developing branches. “If you meet someone at an event, do not feel hesitate to ask for a business card,” she explained.

After that, Nia added, not to wait too long to do a follow up. It was important to maintain the relationship. “in one – two days after the meeting, call them. If it is too long, then the person may forget,” said the female graduate of Japanese Literature.

In the question and answer sessions, one participant asked them about the tricks to get investors to get funds for our business. Radik Kriolampah explained, he ever got a surprising answer when he asked an investor’s motivation to fund a business.” The answer was simple, “I like the team,”” said Radik imitating an investor’s answer.

According to him, it was one indication that investors would consider the solidity of a team in making funding decisions. Ufan added that was a logical reason. “Actually, the investment is more on the entrepreneur. If the entrepreneur team is reliable, regular products can generate tremendous advantage,” he said. ***
